Nordloh Industries LLC was formed because its founder and president, Tom Nordloh, continually looks for new ways to accomplish a task in an improved, quicker and more efficient way than current methods. Tom was president of a design/build landscape contracting firm that installed thousands of yards of erosion control blankets (ECB) every year. His landscape company lost a bid by $.07 /SY to install 15,000 SY of ECB at a project in the western suburbs of Chicago. Tom was determined to find a less labor intense method to install ECB’s and gain a competitive edge.
Nordloh Industries LLC was formed in 2001 to research and develop a more efficient way to install ECBs. The process patent (USP# 6,663,324) was filed and granted in 2002 and prototype development commenced. During the summer of 2003 the building of the first prototype in Tom's gargage was completed and testing throughout the year proved a tremendous success. Nordloh Industries hired a team of mechanical and industrial engineers to build the next prototype and prepare for market introduction of the AutoBlanket® in 2008
During the Fall of 2008 Nordloh Industries, LLC introduced the first and only hand-held pneumatic stapler that installed 6" long staples. The following year Nordloh Industies, LLC became an international company with sales throughouT the United States, Canada and Mexico.
